Spring Starter Kit
Your complete spring lawn care plan, in a box
The Spring Starter Kit is a three-product spring weed and feed system. Grass Powerhouse drives thicker, faster growth (24-0-3). Iron Boost deepens that rich green color (20-0-1). Dandelion Doom targets dandelions, clover, chickweed, spurge, and oxalis with iron-based weed control. Alternate fertilizers every 4 to 6 weeks and spot treat as weeds appear.

Start when soil temperatures hit around 55 degrees F and daytime temps are between 50 and 85 degrees F. That is your green light for spring. Not sure what weeds you have? Use the
weed ID guide
.
Attach Grass Powerhouse to the hose-end sprayer. Apply evenly across your lawn.
Wait 4 to 6 weeks, then swap to Iron Boost. Same sprayer, same process.
Spot treat broadleaf weeds anytime with Dandelion Doom. Mix the concentrate in the pouch, attach the wand sprayer, and spray directly on weed leaves. Works on dandelions, clover, chickweed, spurge, oxalis, moss, algae, and lichen. Expect visible wilting in 24 to 72 hours and full results in 1 to 2 weeks.
Keep alternating Grass Powerhouse and Iron Boost every 4 to 6 weeks through the season.
Skip fertilizer if rain is expected within 4 hours or your lawn is heat-stressed.
Does the Spring Starter Kit include weed control?
The Spring Starter Kit includes Dandelion Doom Concentrate, an iron-based weed control that targets dandelions, clover, chickweed, spurge, and oxalis.
Spray directly on weed leaves with the included wand sprayer. Visible wilting appears in 24 to 72 hours.
What order should I apply the three products?
Start with Grass Powerhouse fertilizer across your full lawn using the hose-end sprayer. Four to six weeks later, switch to Iron Boost using the same process.
Spot treat broadleaf weeds anytime with Dandelion Doom. Let the weed control dry completely before applying fertilizer to the same area.
Will the Spring Starter Kit help with clover in my lawn?
The Spring Starter Kit includes Dandelion Doom, which targets clover along with dandelions, chickweed, spurge, and oxalis using iron-based weed control.
Spray clover leaves directly until covered. Expect visible wilting within 24 to 72 hours. Stubborn patches may need a second application.
When should I start using the Spring Starter Kit?
Apply the Spring Starter Kit when your grass is actively growing and soil temperatures reach around 55 degrees F. For most regions, that means mid-March through April.
Apply when air temperatures are between 50 and 85 degrees F. Skip fertilizer if rain is expected within 4 hours.
Can I apply Iron Boost and Grass Powerhouse on the same day?
The Spring Starter Kit is designed around an alternating schedule. Apply Grass Powerhouse first, then switch to Iron Boost 4 to 6 weeks later.
Alternating gives your lawn steady feeding through the season without overlap. Do not apply both fertilizers at once.
How is the Spring Starter Kit different from a traditional weed and feed?
The Spring Starter Kit separates fertilizer and weed control into three products. Grass Powerhouse and Iron Boost are pesticide-free liquid fertilizers. Dandelion Doom uses iron-based weed control.
You apply weed control only where weeds appear, not across your entire lawn.
