What does Pet Patch do?
Pet Patch neutralizes dog urine damage in the soil. Surfactants break down the nitrogen and salt compounds that burn grass roots. Iron and seaweed extract restore soil health underneath. It stops the damage from spreading and creates better conditions for your lawn. It does not regrow dead grass on its own.
Will Pet Patch regrow dead grass?
No. Pet Patch fixes the soil problem that causes spots. Once treated, dead grass needs to be cleared and reseeded. Cool-season lawn? Pet Lawn Bare Repair is your step two. Warm-season grasses typically fill back in naturally once soil health is restored.
How often should I apply Pet Patch?
For active spots where your dog goes regularly, apply every 4 to 6 weeks through the growing season. For spots where grass has already died, treat once, let dry, clear dead grass, and reseed.
Can I apply Pet Patch before it rains?
Avoid rain for at least 6 hours after applying. If rain is coming sooner, wait for a dry window so the product has time to absorb into the soil.
How long after applying is it safe for kids and pets?
Once fully dry it's safe for kids, pets, and bare feet. On a warm sunny day that's typically 1 to 2 hours.
