Fire Power Nandina

A bulletproof shrub for a ”plant it and forget it” landscape

Also called Heavenly Bamboo, this is one of the most carefree small shrubs you can grow. No pruning is required to maintain its nice shape—but it handles shearing like a champ if you want to keep it compact.

The best part? Its colors morph from season to season, providing year-round beauty in your landscape. New foliage emerges in a fresh spring green, getting red highlights as it matures. When cooler weather arrives, the foliage changes to a brilliant fiery red that lasts all winter.
